Professional Experience
Dr. Matthew started his professional career when he graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic with a sports emphasis from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. Previously, he has enjoyed treating and rehabbing families, weekend warriors, and professional athletes around Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Being new to the area, Dr. Matthew is excited to start treating the people of Southern Florida with Jaguar Therapeutics!

Education
Dr. Matthew graduated with honors from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2018, continued his education at Northwestern Health Sciences University, and became a Doctor of Chiropractic with a sports emphasis in 2021. Since graduating, he has been focused on improving his skills by attaining his Webster Certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association to treat all family members. He is preparing to attain his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (CSCS). Dr. Matthew specializes in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, cupping, and muscle release techniques.

Personal
Dr. Matthew was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Texas by a Colombian mother and an American father. Dr. Matthew played all sports available in the community, eventually finding a passion for Ice hockey. He played AA travel hockey, helped the Grapevine Colleyville High School hockey team win the State Championship, played in Minnesota at Gustavus Adolphus College, and continues to play with the IIHF Colombian National Team. He is coming to South Florida with his girlfriend, a registered dietitian. You'll find them enjoying the beach they didn't have access to in Dallas, traveling, trying new foods, and enjoying coffee in their free time.
